Natural Environment Teaching (NET)

Natural Environment Teaching (NET) supports each individual child in their most natural and comfortable environments. Whether they are in school, at home, or in the community, NET allows each individual child to take the lead in learning new skills. Incidental teaching and Pivotal Response Training are key elements to NET that focus on teaching through the natural development of the child.

Mother and Daughter Communicating

Functional Communication Training (FCT)

All behavior is a form of communication. From picture exchanges to spoken words, language can take many forms. Through natural teaching opportunities and the use of reinforcement, we can support children in expanding their use of language in a variety of ways.

Reggio Emilia Approach

The Reggio Emilia Approach is an educational philosophy that supports the image of the child and the hundred languages they possess through thinking, playing, speaking, exploring and discovering. Through the Reggio Emilia Approach we foster an environment that generates psychological wellbeing, a sense of familiarity and belonging, aesthetic sense, and the pleasure of inhabiting.

Skills Based Treatment (SBT)

Skills Based Treatment (SBT) supports in teaching more contextually appropriate behaviors for the environment in which the child is being taught. Ambiguity and unpredictability are an everyday part of life. SBT supports children in developing the skills to adjust to those changes.

Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)

Not all children thrive in the same environment or with the use of the same teaching methods. That is why it is important for our services to provide a teaching method that supports a more systematic and concrete form of teaching. Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) supports children by breaking down tasks into smaller more manageable steps.
